Directory, Inbox & History

Three of the four bottom tabs, and the clock icon on Home. Between them: every police station you might need to call, every message the platform has sent you, and a complete record of everything you have ever raised.

Police Directory

The Directory tab is a searchable list of police stations with their phone numbers and locations. It works whether or not you have a subscription.

Search stations
Type into "Search stations..." at the top. The list filters as you type. No results gives you "No stations found" and "Try a different search."
Station cards
Each entry shows the station name, its address, its primary phone and, where one exists, an alternate number labelled Alt:.

Calling and navigating to a station

Two buttons on every card:

  • Call Now: opens your dialler with the number filled in. If the station has no number on record the button reads No Phone and is disabled.
  • Navigate: hands the station's coordinates to your maps app for turn-by-turn directions.
Worth doing once

Look up the station covering your home and the one covering your workplace now, and save both numbers to your phone contacts. The directory needs a connection; your contacts do not.

Notifications & Alerts inbox

The Inbox tab. A red badge on the tab icon shows your unread count, capped at 9+.

What arrives here:

  • Command-centre acknowledgements of your alerts.
  • Responder assignment and status updates.
  • Service-request progress: dispatched, en route, completed.
  • Subscription and payment notices, including student-plan verification results.
  • Estate notices, if you are a resident.

Tap a notification to expand it. Longer messages show "Tap to read more". Scroll to the bottom of the list and you will hit END OF NOTIFICATIONS. Pull down to refresh.

The inbox is not the alert channel

Time-critical things, the Guardian cancel countdown above all, arrive as push notifications, not as inbox entries you have to open the app to see. Keep notification permission granted.

History of Events

Reached from the clock icon in the top-right of Home, or from Settings → Preferences → History of Events. This is your complete record.

It is split into two sections:

  • ACTIVE EVENTS: in red, with a live count. Anything still running: a live SOS, a dispatched ambulance, an open service request. Tap one to return to its live screen.
  • HISTORY: everything finished. If empty: "No past events."

A brand-new account sees "No events yet", followed by "Your SOS alerts and service requests will appear here."

Reading an event record

Tap any row to open the full detail:

Location
The address the event was raised from.
Details
The special instructions or description you submitted with the request.
Notes history
Timestamped notes added by operators and responders as the case progressed. This is where you find out what actually happened.
Attachments
Photos and video you uploaded with an incident report, plus anything attached by staff. Tap to view full-size.

Statuses

Every event carries a status badge. An event with no status yet reads Pending. As it moves, you will see it change to dispatched, en route, completed, resolved or cancelled, colour-coded so you can scan the list quickly.

Notes history and attachments

The notes history is the most under-used part of the app. After any real incident, open the record a day later. Operators and responders write up what they did, and that write-up is often exactly what an insurer, an employer or the police will ask you for.

Screenshot what matters

History needs a connection to load. If a record contains something you may need offline (a case reference, a responder's report, a payment reference), screenshot it while you have signal.
